George Michael Boardman
1943-2024

“Mike”, born in Pewee Valley, Kentucky and raised in Louisville, was a husband, father of one, grandfather of one, and great-grandfather of two.

From early childhood, he showed an aptitude for art with a keen eye for detail. Although his career path detoured from his artful gift, he never lost his passion.

After retirement, he creating many pencil drawings for friends and family. His sentimentalism of “the good old days” emanates throughout his works of early western stars and Hollywood icons.

His early artistic inspiration was Norman Rockwell, which could explain Mike’s exemplary work with human eyes, and his innate ability to capture likeness and emotion in his portraits.
